So, what you are saying is that I should forget the William whose father was George?

I have Ann d of William and Mary bap 24 Sep 1740. She is probably the daughter of William Hancock and Mary Midwinter who married in 1739.

Then there is a big jump until Thomas 1749 which makes me think the couple may have left the area unless Mary Midwinter died and William married again.

I don't think William bap 1750 could be Vestye's father - he would have been only 13 when she was born.

I couldn't find another William that fitted the bill except for the one bap 19 Nov 1738.

If it isn't him then we have a missing William.

Frustrating isn't it?
