I am trying to trace back my ancestors with little information. FOr some reason this family was quite reserved and did not share this kind of informaiton. Also deaths in the family have made it hard to retrieve informatin.
This is what i have been told:
Leonard monk born January 01, 1892 in the area of either Walthamstow or linconshire, England. Father was Alfred Monk born 1867 England:
Migrated to Canadaa in 1914 worked on a chain gang before moving to Saskatchewan,Canada
Married in 1919 in Winnipeg to his England sweetheart
Ethel Cartwright Born March 05, 1896 of Walthanstow, England
She came over on the US America in 1919
Not sure of any connectin but plase stay in touch. Have found several Monk families in the past. Maybe we are all connected.
