Before coming to Australia in 1970, my father Derek Hill took me to Bradford, Manchester to show me where he used to live, sadly, the area had just been demolished. I now have a map of the area dated 1908 and 1922 if anyone is interested.

The Commonwealth Games Stadium is build near the corner where the Bradford Pit used to stand. My grandmothers brother Robert Goodlock was killed in a mine cave in, aged 17 in Dec 1924.
