The first reference to property on this side of St. Helens Rd Leigh at around the No. you were inquiring about was in 1931, and all the houses had names rather than numbers.

However I have worked out that it was named " Knole Garth " and was occupied by a William Orrell and Mary Ann Knowles. On one side lived a William and Florence Morgan and on the other side an Henry and Emma Pemberton.
