you say Albert's father died in WW 11, i have checked WW 2 war dead for the name Lowndes and there are only these men with the right name who died before 1944

Leslie John Lowndes 1943 age 23 wife Isabel She is Isabel C Clark.
George Lowndes 1942 from Stoke on Trent, parents named no wife mentioned.
Herbert Leslie Lowndes 1942 Cheshire parents named no wife mentioned.
William Melanchon Lowndes 19421 parents named no wife mentioned.
William lowndes 1941 Newcastle parents named no wife mentioned.
Leslie Lowndes 1943 Stoke on Trent parents named no wife mentioned.
Cyril Lowndes 1941 Bradford parents named no wife mentioned.

I cant find a match with any of these to a son Albert or a wife that died in 1944,
The only death i can find in 1944 Manchester is for a Marjorie Lowndes, she was aged 26 at death and was the wife of Wilfred Lowndes
they married in 1940 at Walsal Marjorie did have two sisters but her husband is not among the war dead
