Greetings,
The 1861 census (RG(/2957 f? p10) shows William (36) and Catharine (26) BAKER and three sons, Henry (3), William (20 and Joseph(3m?). Catherine is listed as being from Newton Heath, Lancs. Also living there is an unmarried sister, Ellen JACKSON, age 18.
I have an 1841 census page from Newton Heath, Manch. (HO107/584/4) upon which appears Richard and Mary Ann JACKSON, with three children, Richard and Mary Ann (5) and John (9m) and what looks to be two step-children, Joshua (15) and Catherine (10) HARRISON.
I believe Richard JACKSON passes before 1851, and Mary (Ann) marries Solomon ASHTON in 1949, as Solomon and Mary ASHTON and Ellen JACKSON are listed together in the water-damaged 1851 census in Manchester.
