I had a look on the web site Family Search.Org and found
Edward Ainsworth marrying an Alice Parkinson on 1st March 1824 in Kirkham Lancashire - which is in the area you mention.

There is also a baptism for an Edward Ainsworth on 8.4.1794 Parents John Ainsworth and Ellen - Lancashire. Not sure if this is of any help.
