There is such a name as Trought because I married one!! My father in law came from Gainsborough in Lincolnshire in the UK. His name was Henry Simpson Trought [ born 1906]and he was the eldest of James, Edward, Jane and Mary. I believe their father was called Charles. My husband Peter is the only son to continue the name . Our son richard was born in 1968
