I seem to recall John William initially left Portsea and went to work 1861? as some sort of draughtsman or compositor somewhere in London or Surrey, but regrettably I failed to make a note of the details. If I do get a chance to recheck this I will, but I dont know when that will be possible, offhand. Do you have any idea what happened to the three sons and 2 youngest daughters subsequent to their appearance in the Dublin Census?
