Some of the first things my grandmother told me when I asked her 25+ years ago as a teenager, I just took at face value. It wasn't until I discovered the Family History library 8 years ago in my city and got the internet at home that I could really research. That was why I was unable to requestion my grandmother - at that point she was dying and all the way across the country.
