St Patrick's Widnes is Roman Catholic. Sometimes the RC church registers have extra information on them that is not on the marriage certificate. The registers are held at Lancashire Record Office at Preston.
There is only one RC church at Northwich, listed on Genuki. The otiginal baptism records for St Wilfred are at Cheshire Records Office in Chester and there are copies on microfilm at Northwich library. The priest should have made a note in the margin of the baptism register if the child later married, given the date, place and name of church, name of spouse and name of spouse's father. That can be useful to see if the details on the marriage cerificate agree with the baptism entry. Not unknown for an illegitimate child to "acquire" a father on marriage!
