John BROOME, Hursdfield, age 85, was buried 8 April 1854 at St Michael's, Macclesfield. There is a Memorial Inscription Transcription that give his age as 82. Sarah was buried just 3 weeks later on 29 April 1854 age 85. I can't see a Will for either of them (on Ancestry or the Cheshire Archives site), which is surprising as in 1851 John was described as a Land Proprietor. It may just not be available online.

Have you looked at their house in Hurdsfield? You can just about see it on Google Maps.

I can't find a burial for Richard Ridgeway BROOME either. Maybe he went into the Army?
