William BARTLAM born abt 1874 died Sep 1932 Stoke-on-Trent. In the 1901 & 1911 censuses he was back living with his parents, John & Mary BARTLAM at Bucknall. He was a carter & is shown as married, but no wife Sarah living with him at either census. This would fit with a marriage of Sarah BARTLAM/PAYNE to John Simpson YARWOOD in 1933 after William died in 1932. By the way, StaffordshireBMD website shows both her surnames at this marriage.

On the message boards there is someone (caerfai2) whose mum was still alive and was 81 in 2010. The grandparents of the mum were John Simpson YARWOOD and Sarah PAYNE.
