Looking at FreeBMD, there was an Edward C Owen death registered in 1940 age 62 Wirral Registration District and also several Owen/Roberts children in Wirral after 1912 (looks like more than one family) so it might be worth a stab at one of the births giving the parents name or see who was the informant at the death.
