I can't cast any light on your John Ollerenshaw. If you look at a map, you will see that Woodhead, Tintwistle and Glossop are clustered.

Most Ollerenshaws are a short distance to the south, in the Hope and Chapel-en-le-Frith district. If you break through your brickwall you will almost certainly find that John has ancestors there.
