There is a Stanley George Heather b. March 1889 E. Preston(Sussex) Vol 2b pg 351-possible since there is a strong Sussex connection.But this Stanley is with parents William & Eliz. in the 1901 census.. So could it be a middle name of one of the above boys? Or a cousin rather than a brother?

in 1871 Edgar Heather is with his family and says born Funtington of which West Ashling is a village. He is with parents George & Emma.sibs Ernest, Emma, William, George & Frederick.

Interesting there is a Mary Anne Heather a niece from Winchester Hampshire residing with them - so there was a Hampshire connection already.

In 1881 he is still at home in Funtington Sussex with parents both occasions there is a servant in the house. Father George is described as Farmer & Shopkeeper employing 5 men 2 boys. So not a poor family - strange that Blanch ends up in an orphanage...
I see the death of Edgar's wife,Bertha E, Heather March 1911 Portsmouth Vol 2b pg 347 aged 43, interestingly no death in any time period for an Edgar Heather..did he abandoned the family? Or did he go to Canada too?
