Thanks for you information, I have seen the records that you refer to, I must admit they look as though it could be correct although the father is listed as a labourer on the marriage cert, it would fit in with the place of birth on the 1861 census which states 'Strafford, Bucks' but does not help with the 1871 census which states he was born in Evesham/Syresham Northants.
