William (Wilhelm) elrod is the older brother to my 5th great grandfather, Christopher Sr. William married Anna Bischoff. Anna was born 1722 in Lancaster Co., Pa. She married William on June 14, 1736 in Lancaster Co. Wm. is buried in the Old Hope Moravian Church Cemetery, near Clemmons, N.C. I think Anna is buried there also. I visited the cemetery and nearby Old Salem, N.C. last fall. This is a fascinating place to visit. Many Elrods are buried in the old cemtery as well as in the cemetery in Old Salem. Elrods were one of the founding families of Old Salem. They came from the Palitinate region of Germany. Wm.'s parents were Johann Teter Elrod and Maria Magdalena Lerchenzeiler. They came to New York from Germany through Holland in 1709. William was born in Germany. William and Anna had 6 children. Let me know what other info you need.
