I said nothing about subscription fees but history speaks for itself in this case. Just wondering if Ancestry minded if people started borrowing their "data" like they are at this moment from other sites and calling it theirs. If enough sites took Ancestry's "data" then you wouldn't need one large library that is primarily subscription based. I firmly believe in sharing what I have unearthed in my research for my county sites. I've posted three complete cemetery listings that were considered totally destroyed and posted pictures for those ancestors to see. I don't care if these ancestors copy and post these pictures in their family trees, even on Ancestry. I do mind if Ancestry steals this information from my sites for their use. That just is not acceptable, no matter what you call it, i.e. spidering or stealing??? I, too, have contributed data to others county sites but that's no what Ancestry is doing.
