Dear Scott,

John McKinley married my (biological aunt) Mary Louise McCurdy (born July 20, 1927, Denver, Colorado). I don't have HIS birthday, nor who is parents were...but he was definitely either a gggnephew or something to President McKinley. He had many many pictures of the President...some as a baby, and signed pictures and memorabilia of his presidency to include a few personal letters.

I only remember him when I was a little girl and teenager. Since my aunt wasn't close to my father or his brothers. But I do have the date he died: 7-1-86...of diabetes.

He also, and I hate to say bad things of the dead, Uncle John was a wife beater. My aunt would frequently call crying to my dad (In San Diego)...he offered to take care of her, but she always went back to John. Very sad....any mention (biographical) in the President McKinley line of wife beaters? Or cruelty?

They lived in Whitter, CA all their married life. Since my father, all his brothers and sisters are dead now, I have few to go to to ask more questions.

I do know that many of the McKinley's origins are in Scotland...the McCurdy's are from the Isle of Bute (and Highlanders)...have their own clan, but also are Septs to the Stuart clan...not the Royal Stewart clan....I guess we cleaned out their milk rooms aka Curd? :) jk...
