The articles relating to the Mardis gang are in the Indiana Progress still searching. I have a copy of the family tree listing Sadie Cameron as his mother with Curtis as father but no info on her parents, but I found a Cameron on Jackson township historical preservation site and he told me the Sadie in his family married a James Waddell and he didn't know of any Mardis connection. But Minerva Mardis , Sanford's sister married a Merlin Cameron. I WILL get to the bottom of this no matter how long it takes or how much money I have to spend.
