Christopher Esty is my 9th GG.

I am most interested in finding out more from the time of
Johnathan R. Esty who married to Mary Ann Nichols about 1862
Their children were Joseph F.A. Esty and Mary Esty.

My information about Johnathan and Mary Ann is fuzzy.
Mary appears in the 1870 Census without Johnathan but with the children. Mary was born in MA but both children were born in New York. Jonathan was married to Elvira Smith in 1838 and Hesibah Pride Trask in 1845. I haven't been able to find a marriage record for Johnathan and Mary Nichols but they are referrenced in other documents.

Joseph Esty was also married 3 times. When he met his second wife Katie Kent (my great grandmother) he changed his name to BLAIR. His third wife was Nellie. Her maiden name may have been Welch but that could also be a surname of her previous husband.
