I have not been able to find out what happened to the sister Mary Bohan. John Bohan married Mary Hickey, in 1848 in Templetuohy,Ire. They only lived in Joliet until 1860 or so. John and Mary had a daughter they named Mary, b in 1856 or so. She kept house for her brother and first cousin in western Iowa on adjoining 80's that they were breaking ground on from 1881 and they built a school house where she taught. She married ? Huntimer. She would be the right age to be a sponsor, her aunt Mary would have been over 50.

They Hickey's are a big connection to Bohans as are Devlin, and Delaney. Let me know if you found some connections there to compare notes.
