Alexander Grant did not have 24.1st Charlottenburgh as his land grant. In 1786 a Sergt D McCarty and Sergt Gordon had the land. I do not know whom was on east or west half. I have searched the listings from the Old Eastern District and found a Sergt Alex Grant on lot 40 1st Concession north of River aux Raisin, but no other Alex'r Grant listed in Charlottenburg.
In Lancaster Twp a Alex. and Wm Grant are shown on Lot27 1st Concession and part of same lot in 2nd Concession.
Do you know when your Alex'r Grant died and where he is buried.
