the myth about putting a pototoe on a wart then burying it is a German folk lore. I have never heard of the 7th son thing but my husbands kentucky family has one about the 3rd son of a 3rd son..which my husband is. Not many people have 7 sons anymore! and we have a boy and a girl and no plans of having more.
