I have done research on the Warlick family from here in Gilmer County. My great aunt Lula Freeman was married to Augustus Andrew "Andy" Warlick, b.Jan 1869 in Gilmer Co., Ga., d Aft. 7 Apr 1930 in Etowah, McMinn Co., TN. His father was Benjamin Franklin "Frank" Warlick, b. 11 Mar 1848 in Buncombe Co., NC, d.aft. Apr. 1910. He was in the 1910 Pickens Co., census but haven't found his grave. His father was William Williamson Warlick, b. Abt. 1808 Lincoln Co., NC, d.1891, Talking Rock, Pickens Co., Ga.Buried in Talking Rock Baptist Church Cem., Talking Rock, Pickens Co., Ga. William arrived in Gilmer Co., abt. 1853 from Buncombe Co., NC. I have seen his grave but have yet to go make a photo of it. His father was Absolom Whisenhunt Warlick, b.May 1785, Lincoln Co., NC, d. Feb 1873, Cleveland Co., NC buried in Palm Tree Methoedist Church Cem, Cleveland Co., NC. About all else I have is the census on them. Have not located any Wills on any of them.
