Leonard Sleightholme (1722-1822) married Elizabeth Smallwood (1721-1817) were married in 1767, and they are buried in Egton.

They had at least 8 kids baptized mostly in Goathland, Yorkshire. After their deaths, the whole family moved to Toronto Gore, Ontario, Canada and settled within wakling distance. The families intermarried for a bit and they then spread out all over N.America.

I don't know where Leonard Sleightholme is born, so it is possible that the families connect to Kirby Moorside at some point.
