Born: Henry McCartyin 1860 in NY he was a second son his brother was Named Joseph McCarty
Father: Patrick Henry McCarty who died about the middle of the Civil War he died young.
Mother: Catherine Ann Bonney in 1873 Catherine married William Antrim Billy liked William so much he took the name of William. Billy got into a lot of trouble in Texas under the name of Henry McCarty so he went to New Mexico and changed his name to William H. Bonney he took his mothers maiden name and the rest is history.
