I believe our branch of the Orr,s came from Scotland. I am John Samuel Orr, called Sam. I am back to my Great GrandFather, Nathaniel Murray Orr. I have a lot on him and MY Great GrandMother, Eliza Jane [Deryaw] Orr. He was a lighthouse keeper for the Canadian Federal Gov,t for most of his life. His last light was on Simcoe Island. I have most everything from him down to the present day. I am stuck on him as far as his Brothers and Sisters and his parents.
From reading I find three brothers coming to Canada around the turn of the 1800,s which would be about right as my GGrandPa was born in 1822. If any of this sounds familiar, Please email me at
