E-mail friend Catherine Scott recently alerted me to a branch of the Banffshire GARROW family with a connection to the CHRISTIE family. From my perspective, it starts with James GARROW (c1798-1850) marrying Margaret BOOTH (1796-1874). Two of their children, daughters Isabella and Margaret, marry into my MURISON family of Alvah, but that's another story. Their son William GARROW (1822-1894) married Jane KEITH (c1825-1900). Their son William married Margaret REID and their son John Reid GARROW (1888- ? ) married Agnes CHRISTIE (1892- ? ) in 1917. It is possible they married in Canada, because their son Gordon was born in Vancouver in or around 1921. John and Agnes returned to Scotland, then in 1923 sailed separately for Boston, Mass. where they re-united and settled in the Belmont area. Agnes's mother Mrs John CHRISTIE lived in Aberdeen.
