I can't help beyond John Ewalt, but I need some help.

I am descended from Richard Ewallt and Mariah Stamps of Bourbon Co Kentucky. I am looking for confirmation about the names of their children. This is what I know: William-died in Mexican War of the fever. Elizabeth Jane-married and remained in the Bourbon County vacinity all her life. Sallie Aun married Noah Spears Moore and lived all but her last years at the Forest Grove house near Ewalt's Crossroads-had many children-I am through this line. Penelope married and never had children. I have not been able to confirm the name of the 5 child. My uncle claims it to be Samuel. I found "America" listed in another researchers notes. "America" sort of makes sense because Mariah Stamps had a much younger sister who died at age 14, 4 years before the assumed birth of this 5 child of Richard and Mariah. Also, "America" was a somewhat popular name between 1810-1830.

Also needing some help to confirm "Aun". My g-g-aunt's mother's name is spelled Sallie Aun Ewalt Moore on the DAR application. My father has Sallie Aun's g-g-grandmother as Agnes Aun Young Frye, wife of Abraham Frye, Sr. of Fallowfield, PA. My father also claims that there was a large Aun family in central Kentucky.

Can you help?
