Okay. You have that Daniel Blackmon married Nancy Hartley and they had eight children including James born in 1838. In the 1880 Haralson County Census David and Nancy were married and living in the same county as James Blackmon and his wife Margret. In the Mormon church records, James Blackmon married Margret Sams (and I believe one or both of them may have been married before) on 12/16/1857 in Fayette County, Georgia, and David Blackmon married Nancy Hartley in 1836 in Fayette County, Georgia. I know the counties were arranged differently back then, but that doesn't help me to solve this mystery. Can anybody help?
