I would guess that you gggrandmother mother would have been Lois Mary born about 1830. Mary Ann Rafford, my gggrandmother, was born abt 1823 in Miramichi, NB. Daniel and Mary Ann were married 31 Jan 1820 in Ludlow, Northumberland, NB. I don't know when the family moved to Maine. I can not find find the Raffords on the 1830 Maine census however John Rafford is on the 1840 census with 9 children. One of them (female) in the 10 to 15 year age bracket. That would suggest Lois was born in NB and moved to Maine sometime between 1830 and 1840.
