I live in eastern ky in the mountains where this magic or healing was used when i was a child. I,ve heard that the seventh son of the seventh son could cure thrush by blowing in a babies mouth. I also heard that
a person could buy warts and then you throw away the money and never look at the money again and they will disappear. I think the reason for the 7th son is because in the bible 7 is a very significant number.
My ggrand mother was a midwife or wise woman
she healed with herbs and cherokee magic. She was
from ark and moved to breathitt ky in 1800's. I would
have loved to know more about her. They called her
