Hi,

My grgr grandfather was a John Mc Naughton,born c 1800.
The only clue to where born is that in the 1851 Census his birthplace is recorded as Kenmore.
He married Augusta Mary BURGE in London in 1824 and their first child was born in Somerset which is where Augusta's family were from. They eventually went back to Scotland (Edinburgh) where the rest of his children were born.
The last info I have of him and his wife is the 1851 Census where they appear in Glasgow..
I have been unable to find either his birth or death and would appreciate any help you can offer me.
I have quite a bit of information of his chidrens lives if wanted.
