Hi All, im a living relative of the Biltons! William and Elizabeths great great grand daughter. Laura Bilton their eldest daughter is my great grandma, so im descendent of her but it does get complicated after that due to the great Bilton scandal. Laura married George Ballan, they had Ella Blankiron Ballan - this lady moved in with her Grandparents (1899 census) and started a relationship with her Uncle - her Mums Brother Charles. They wed and had children, one of them was Gertrude. Gertude, gave birth to my Father. I thought Author Bilton, who was also living in the house at the same time widdowed and with his baby, was a mariner, like all the other Bilton males.
