I am descended from Conrad Amman, German and his wife Elisabeth who came from the Swedish border of Germany. My great great grandfather born 1831 in Laubach, Rhineland, Germany - emigrated and then became an American citizen in 1868, settling and passing on in 1925 Decatur, Illinois. He married a woman named Elisabeth who was born in 1826. The had five children. One of whom was my great grandfather William G. Ammann born 1862 (he was a printer) married to Cora Brooks. One of their sons William Brook Ammann (he was a printer) married Blance Lee and they had three kids, one of whom was my father William Brook Ammann (he was a printer too!!) to me, Kitty.
