Hi
I wrote on the 1 Aug 2010 regarding surnames Guest & Eather.
I had photos by West Maitland photographers
You replied 12 June 2011 and I later sent copies to you.

I have since come across an advertisement that was in The Maitand Mercury 2 January 1857
The advertisement was from Laban Thomas Guest known as Thomas Guest b18 Jul 1835 d5 Sep 1903.
“THOMAS GUEST, Saddle and Harness Maker, begs leave to notify that he has commenced business in High street West Maitland, opposite the stores of Messrs Dickson and Co, where by strict attention and good material, he hopes to merit a share of support. Having arranged with his father, Mr George Guest, for a regular supply of leather from Richmond, feels confident that satisfaction will be given in any article manufactured by him.”

I do not know how long he was there.

Regards
Terri
