Just to add to what was written about the Palmers, and some of their descendants: Elizabeth Hoffman (or Huffman), daughter of Jacob Hoffman, married Jesse Palmer in 1785. Their daughter Mary married the Rev. Alexander Robeson. My husband's line of the Robesons via Rev. Alexander Robeson have maintained the spelling of the name Robeson.
