I am also working on this puzzle! My ancestor is Mary daughter of Christian Remick and Hannah Foster. I have found in "old Kittery" records of Hannah Foster & Christian being married. Then a 2nd family starts for Christian in 1692. I find no record of a divorce.
I have two death dates for Hannah 1703 and the murder in 1689. I am having a hard time with that.
It is quite puzzling.
I am researching every lead. Old Kittery seems to be a good reference.
