Hi, here we are months later- I bought the book, Incidents & Experiences in the Life of Thomas W. Parsons 1826-1900. Thank you for giving me the title. It contains the only information that I can find about Jesse being the son of William Blanton- "The first quarterly meeting held there was presided over by Richard D. Neale, and it was Sunday night that the first one joined the church there. It was Mrs. Jesse Blanton daughter-in-law of Mr Wm Blanton, when she came up and gave her hand, Old Brother Neale called out in his sentorian voice, 'There, thank God, the Devil's arm is broken in one place, we'll have his neck broken before the year is out'". About William Blanton- "Our nearest neighbor was John Blanton, a young married man with one or two children, the next was his father William Blanton, the first settler in that County which occurred in the year 1800. Mr. Blanton had a large family most of whom were at home yet."
I don't know if you own the book yourself or were just quoting from it. If you don't and would like a scan of the pages for your documentation, I would be willing to scan them in for you. Gretchen
