Mine are out of Marquette and Iron River Michigan. Johanna Johnson was the matriarch of the gjers, her daughter was Rebecca Gjers, and verna was the other daughter who married George treadeau she had twin boys vernon and I am not sure the other ones name. she also had another son named bobby. verna left george and married another person. Johanna Johnson is my Aunt doris fathers aunt. Johannas husband died early.

George was the other twin's name. I know all three. My father is their cousin.

I take it this is all the detail you know about the Treado's. I believe the name was changed when they came over from Canada 2 generations earlier.

I guess it depends on what you mean by odd.
Their father was a mining engineer. He traveled quite a bit according to my father, their cousin. I am not too sure how much my father knows about the situation. I am sure all his information was from his aunts, which would make me believe it is slanted. I never heard uncle George talk about it at all, but I was young when we would visit him, and in college when he died.

I am sorry, I don't have my information here.

Things get sketchier when I do further back then this. Yes, their father's name was Jerry. He is buried in Chicago. He was born in Canada and spoke French (my father remembers him speaking French in the household, and picked up some French sware words).

HIS father is Joseph. This turns out to be my wall. At that time, almose every French Canadian male was named Joseph in some form or another. I once thought I had a breakthrough, but there were no baptismal records at the church that had that indivuals marriage record.

This is what I remember with our my records in front of me. I will try to send you more details if you want them.
