I thought initially Taylor could have been his occupation, but like yourself I then felt this would be inconsistent with the other entries in the PR.

I then thought his full name could have been John Darby Taylor but he was more familiarly known as just John Darby, or alternatively he emphasised the name Darby to make sure his mother's maiden name survived.
