The research my grandmother, Mamie Ruth Garrett Hathcock, and I did was probably about 20 years ago or more. My grandfather, James Ernest Hathcock, was a descendant of Minnie Lea Papps. If memory serves me right, I think we looked at the actual census records from Carroll County, MS. I haven't been able to ascertain a date of death, but have it between 1910-1920 based on census records. W.J. did remarry. I've searched for a long time for her parents and found nothing......until last night! I had determined from the Pabst family research that I had done that more than likely her father had come from Louisiana. When I saw your post, it confirmed my research. I never found anything definitive in my research. I've just been following each Pabst line I could. The information you provided appears to be right. I spent many hours last night looking for parents. John D. Pabst's parents may be Christian Pabst (1830-1869) and Mary E. Pabst (1832-1870). Since they both died in their 30's, there is an absence of census records, etc. Still researching this. Anyway, my direct line is W.J. Fullilove and Minnie Papps' daughter, Mattie Ophelia Fullilove b. 15 Nov, 1905 in MS; d. 26 Aug, 1998 in Winona, MS; married to James Ervin Hathcock. Their son was Rev. James Ernest Hathcock b. 22 March 1924 in MS; d. 11 Jan 1987 at Jackson VA Medical Center, MS married Mamie Ruth Garrett. Their daughter Gloria Annette Hathcock Kite was my mother.
