My Morgan line can be traced back to Abner Morgan b. abt 1803 NC d. 11.28.1826 Laurel County, KY m. Betsy "Elizabeth" Davis. He d. 11.28.1885 Whitley Co., KY. He had other spouses Virginy and Jane Adams. He fathered 15 children; one of whom's descendants was my grandfather's (Wm Alexander Hopkins)first wife Rosa Morgan. Rosa's parents are fa George W. (or GWT) Morgan b. 6.19.1857 Whitley, KY d. 5.30.1917 Laurel, KY and wf Sarah M. Southerland b. 5.1.1858 KY d. 9.10.1908 both buried Horse Cr. Cemetery, Laurel, KY.
