Hi John
Thanks for the info, I'm glad that my info wasn't wrong after all but you did add a couple of names and dates for me, Thanks.
My wife Dana Swift is the 5th great grand daughter of Borden, so that is where I join this line. One other question I have for you is, when Borden married Mary, was due to death or divorce and do you know the date of the event?
Thanks alot
Mike

Hi Mike,
Unfortunately have found no marriage date for Borden Thurber and Mary (though I did see an unsourced one somewhere) - we can only assume that it was around 1790 ?. No death date for Sarah either . Not much help here but I have been searching for a long time to find an answer to these puzzles. Borden's son Mark was at Freeport by 1887, possibly Isaac, Samuel, Benjamin, and Ruth also... Borden arrived by 1795, according to the History of Freeport, by Rev. Greenwood.
Swift is a familiar surname from Digby County (Westport?), which one of Borden's sons is she descended from ?
I am currently working on a theory that Mark Thurber's wife may have been Elizabeth Klingsoehr, who had previously married to ____? Warner.Nothing concrete thus far, but a few hopeful clues...
Best,
John

Hi John
Here is my wife's lineage fron Borden/Sarah down. Issac Thurber/Mary Prime to Benjamin Thurber/Maria Prime? to Elizabeth Sabina Thurber/Roland Welch to Lawrence Goudy Welch/Elsie Outhouse to Maxine Welch/Wilfred K Swift to Wilfred R Swift/Nancy Kenney to Dana Swift/Mike O'Dell

A couple of these names I have not completely proven especially Maria Prime but am still looking. My biggest block so far is the Swift line. I have Hantford living with Dakin's in the 1881 census and know who his parents were but that is all.
Thanks for all your help so far.

My great grand mother is now 83 and her memory is not good. I did ask her a few question and she wrote a book about her life a few years ago that also has pictures !

My grand mother tells me that Savary Park in Plympton,N.S. was named after her fathers family many years before him. My great grand father's name was Charles Savary. I'd love to send you the pictures I have of my Great grand father, his mother and his sisters and some pictures of the Savary family farm in Bear River N.S.Please email me ! Sounds like where from teh same family.

I'm from Mass. my grand parents moved here to the states when my Dad now 60 was about 8.

The name is SAVERY, at least in Digby County, N.S. The park at Plympton is , if I remember correctly, named after John Dean Savery.
