I can help correct a "false" translation error. There was never a Jendrian, only Hendrian. According to Old German scripts, the " H" looks like an American J. But for other names, first and last, the H matches across the board. Audrey is my Husband's Great Aunt. We have worked with her on research and she was mistaken in the Jendrian. But unfortunately, verbal tradition has winded it's way down.
The Ship records clearly match the birth records from Germany. The copies I have from "Prussia" are Hendrian with an "H" through 3 generations.
So hopefully that will help clean up some research for now.
