SCHEUERMAN, SCHIERMAN, SCHIREMAN or other possible spellings. Particularly interested in finding descendants of George & Mary K.(Repp) Scheuerman (SCHIERMAN). His sons were John Phillip (1866-1936), Conrad, Henry & George and his daughters were Katie (married Ochs) and Maude (married Bafus). Have information on John but would like to locate more info on these siblings. Any additional information would be appreciated and I will share any that I have. Thanks.

I am grandson of Mary Schierman Bafus (Peter). This family lived in Endicott, Wa and consisted of 18 children. One died in infancy but all others except my father lived past 60 years. I can supply information on the above if wanted? I have limited info on other siblings and their families. Will share what I have.

My grandmother was marrieed to Conrad Scheuerman . In 1930
census he gave his age as 41 and birth place as Kansas.
Conrad married my grandmother Elizabeth Miles in Topeka circa
1920 . Conrad had been in WW1 serving in Artillary at Fort Riley, Kansas. Conrad was working for railroad in Colorado for a while.
Moved to California in 1923 where the opeated majestic Apartments in Anaheim and Conrad worked in local plant that
manufactured Alcohol. They divorced in the early f1940's and Conrad died in Los Angeles 1/22/1951. I was young boy whe he was married to him and barely remember him. Everyone called him
"Connie" pronounced " Koon E"

Darrel,
Thanks for your reply. I have a lot of of the Scheuerman, Schierman, Schireman clan in my data base since I posted this query. Can you tell me who your grandfather Conrad's father was? I have a Conrad in the main family line I am interested in who also was born in Kansas but he died in 1961 and his wife was Katherine Ault. The Germans from Russia sure used the same names over and over again. It gets very confusing for genealogy work. Thanks again and if you have any other info I would appreciate it.

Conrad wasn't my grandfather, He was married to my grandmother
from about 1920 until in the early 1940. I know he was born in Kansas, that they were married in Topeka. They lived in Colorado
for awhile and then moved to Anaheim. The date of death was found in the California death index , however, I hadn't seen him in years and my grandmother said he died of alcoholism. She had remarried . The date of his death shown was 1/22/1951 in Los Angeles. I was a small boy and I only remember he was nice to me. Sorry I cant help more.

My grandfather was a Scheuerman (Philip), came from Russia through Ellis Island in 1912. The family lived for a while in the Farmington area of Whitman County, if you are still interested and still researching.

Your grandfather evidently one of the later scheuermans. The Philip Scheuerman (Schierman) in my genealogy came over in 1864. However, he finally settled in Whitman Co. They could be related some way. I have lots of information on his family (father Georg and some on his three brothers Conrad, Henrick & John)

Going through some old family records and letters, I found a newspaper article from June, 1935 announcing the marriage of Velma Schierman, dau of Mr. and Mrs. J. K. Schierman, Colfax, WA to Dr. A. Gunnar Engstrom of Moscow, ID. I also went to high school in Moscow with a Schierman. I am not connected to either family, but would be happy to provide you a copy of the article.

I am a 2nd cousin to Velma and Gunnar Engstrom. Would love to have a copy of the article. Would you have anymore informaiton on this family and Velmas siblings. I believe Velmas mother was a Benner and im trying to find information on that family. Velmas sister had another sister and 2 brothers. Her one brother John Benner was my grandfather and he was married to Elizabeth Lienweber.
