1816-1886: Joseph TURNER PAULLIN
His father David PAULLIN (1793-1850) and his
mother was Abigail TURNER (1795-1852), both b Salem NJ.
Turner Cemetery loc. in Jasper, Greene OH. These TURNERs came fr Guilford Co NC.
In 1820 John TURNER, Barber HOBLET, David HOBLET, John HOBLET were all members of Caesars Creek Church, organized 1813 in Jamestown.
I have found a record of PAULLIN & HOBLIT being neighbors, on a website "Lincoln in Logan County" about Abraham Lincoln's early law practice: http://will.illinois.edu/lincoln/historicalnotes/lincoln-in-... It shows that they were neighbors, but does not explain familial connection. I'm still looking!
