Hi Richard,
Your dad Ruben Gilbert was my cousin and your grandfather Benny was my uncle. Benny and my dad were brothers.
Yes, their were Refugio Galrza Murillo and their Mother was
Trinidad Cano Murillo. Refugio's parents were Ricarda Sanoval Galarza and Savas Perez Murillo. I traced our Murillo line back to circa 1780 so our line were colonials
in Mexico. Your great grandfater Refugio walked fron the state of Jalisco to Arizona Territory at age 13, that is what dad told me and it checked out when I saw his immigration paper here at Ancestry.com. He was extrememly good looking, with green eyes and white complexion. He was hired as a " chicken picker ", he had watch the copper ore going by on a convery belt and pick our the stones that weren't copper ore. He worked and saved long enough to send for his mother, Ricarda, who by the way was Spanish and French Basque. Dad said Uncle Benny was the baby in the family and that his mother favored Benny. I sent you a message before but I heard back from you. Your Dad was older then my eldest sister but I did get to know him when he would bring Uncle Benny to Phoenix to visit with dad.
RubenGilbert was a man of great faith and was gifted from above,he dearly loved your mother and his sons. He also was a good loving son to his dad. If you get this message please let me know.
